7th Heaven - Live at Durty Nellies

Chicago´s own modern AOR heroes 7th Heaven has released their first DVD,a live concert recorded in Palatine,Illinois this April.
This is a 2 disc set with a live cd and 1 DVD containing 14 songs taken from their excellent double cd "Silver",
it´s a simple live recording in front of a small but devoted crowd that knows their lyrics both backwards and in their sleep.
The sound is not as polished as the studio versions, this is more rough and live sounding which is only good coz the live effect
makes the overall impression even better.
Of course you can hear that the band has done some overdubs with some background vocals and extra guitars on the song
"Ghost of me" but that is a common thing with live albums and DVD´s so I´m not surprised that they have "fixed some of it"!
However I think that singer Andrew Blake has a tremendous voice and takes care of the songs in the best possible way,
bass player Mark Kennetz is fun to watch with his funny moves so if you want some supermelodic 80´s AOR done
in the Def Leppard school.
